Letter To The Brave Progressive Activists

Dear Fellow Citizens,
My name is Bahram Maskanian. I am a Persian American man and the founder of the "Earth's Common Sense" Think Tank, a futuristic progressive organization coming to existence with your help. I am hoping to galvanize and organize Persians and other people who wish to create a powerful central organization to come up with practical solutions to our problems affecting us all today.

To what degree any of you may choose to get involved, is completely up to you. I am trying to form a team of honorable progressive independent thinkers, such as political, environmental and human rights activists and concerned citizens interested to work with Earth’s Common Sense to introduce new democratic and innovative ideas for human rights, the preservation and protection of human rights and our natural world.

There are many common problems and interests, which bond us all together as human beings. We must diligently work towards improving our environment, human rights and political conditions in Iran, here in the United States and around the world.

The goal of Earth’s Common Sense Think Tank is to inform the inhabitants of our Planet, and influence particularly the policy makers of the United States and Europe. As you know, United States and European foreign policy has always directly and indirectly affected my beloved people and country, Iran.

We must help Americans fix the United States government. First, by electing a President who does not pursue old American expansionist imperialistic goals, but rather respects nations’ territorial integrity, and is also understanding and sympathetic towards supporting and helping true democracies flourish. This task needs to be accomplished in order to cut the supporting hands of the United States and European corporations and governments, which are currently sustaining the mullahs' regime, before we are able to help our fellow Persians achieve true democracy.

As an activist and a concerned citizen, I would like to invite you to browse the "Earth's Common Sense" web site, and learn more about the goals and ideas presented. Hopefully you will join us as a member and participant in Earth’s Common Sense Think Tank. The identities of Earth’s Common Sense Think Tank’s members and contributors shall remain confidential and secret.

In advance I would like to thank all of you Iranians / Persians and other forward-looking people for your activism, diligence and tireless struggle, working so hard to help free Persian people and Iran from the tyranny of the primitive savage mullahs.

Peaceful instigation is the only way to get average individuals to think and learn how to liberate themselves out of this barbaric theocracy we are experiencing in Iran. I know there are thousands of you working very hard out there and nothing makes me more proud than seeing and hearing my fellow Persians hard at work toward democratic goals.

The objective for founding "Earth's Common Sense" Think Tank is to invite the thousands of peace loving democratic activists to join forces, together and generate a massive conscience-shaking power, which could not be easily dismissed and would be listened to by the United States and European corporations and governments, supporters of mullahs betrayal, and treasonous regime in Iran.

I am fifty years old. I came to the United States to continue my college education when I was twenty-five, in August of 1978. Soon after which, as you all know, the deceitful mullahs staged a phony revolution with the help of their United States and European comrades.

Ever since, all I have heard and seen our Intellectuals, Scholars, Thinkers and Cultural Figures do, is either fight amongst them-selves or accuse each other of being in the pockets of the enemy, therefore completely missing the bigger picture.

For twenty-five years since the mullahs’ phony revolution, our so-called Intellectuals, Scholars, Thinkers and Cultural Figures are polarizing people and diverting their attention from the real issues, promoting their cause or philosophy for a variety of reasons, thus preventing Persians to unite. As a nation we are the most fragmented people around the world.

Then came Bani Sadder. Our Intellectuals, Scholars, Thinkers and Cultural Figures told us, we the people, should support moderates like Bani Sadder, and after him Rafsangany, and now Khatamy. When is it going to be enough? When are we going to learn that our so called Intellectuals, Scholars, Thinkers and Cultural Figures either don’t get it or are working for the interests of those who want Iran to be in shambles and turmoil all the time.

We should learn a very precious historic lesson right before us, which is a mullah, is always going to be a mullah. Treason is a trademark of mullahs, and absolutely no one is going to do anything to help Iran and Iranians / Persians but Persians.

As I mentioned earlier, I greatly admire even the scattered efforts of all goodhearted Persians trying to help, but the obvious fact remains, that power lies in unity only.

Our differences such as cultural, philosophical, and political must and should be argued and talked about only after we regain our national identity and dignity. Not when we are living on the very same foreign soil, which thanks to mullahs refers to us as a terrorist nation.

Forgive me for speaking honestly and from the heart. I am not preaching to anyone, rather sharing and inviting like-minded individuals to join forces at Earth’s Common Sense Think Tank.
