The Persian poet said:
- - Earth and the Universe - Moon and the Sun - are at work to make
life possible, but this life must not be taken for granted - -.
Each night before going to bed to sleep, I spend at least half an
hour reflecting on what went on since I woke up the same day, until
that moment. I try to take an inventory of my day's events, and actions,
good and bad. I review all of what I have done. And at the end I learn
what is my daily legacy.
We all have daily legacies. Throughout our lives, each and every single
one of us accumulates these daily legacies and at the end when the time
comes to depart, the totality of our daily legacies symbolizes who we
were and what we have left behind as our lifetime legacy.
Every move we make, and every action we take, has direct and indirect consequences to the world around us, and people all over the world. That is our legacy.
We must observe carefully and critically when examining our daily
legacy. Unchecked daily legacy is destructive and it will lead to a
life of indifference and ignorance.
Sincerely,
Bahram Maskanian
